Our experienced logistics team will ensure that we provide a high-quality service and we will work with national and international institutes, proprietary network of principal investigators, to source and collect samples from multi-center hospitals and other biobanks. All the samples collected in the field are carefully transported to our facility using the best techniques for preservation. We will make sure bio-specimens will be accurately and quickly registered upon arrival. They will be then added to our online database with accurate, up-to-date information we know researchers will need. HSRC Biobank will be powered by our proprietary LMS system and connects all facets of our business into one platform. It facilitates smooth and efficient processes between the HSRC Biobank, hospitals, and researchers.
The Biobank services and resources are made available to researchers to advance health related Science. To gain access to the services requesters must complete the registration form. The request will be reviewed by the biobank scientific committee and once it is approved candidate can apply for access to the services and resources provided.
Advanced Imaging
The advanced imaging unit at HSRC biobank offers an excellent set of state-of-the-art instruments providing high quality services for health sciences researchers, the unit includes:
- Scanning Electron Microscope.
- Transmission Electron Microscope.
- Confocal Microscope.
- Micro CT Skyscan.
Health Records and Data
Upon joining HSRC Biobank you will have access to participants consented health data. All our samples are linked to participants health data. Health records are regularly updated. Participant is health data will be anonymized to protect their identity.
Genetics
The biobank in collaboration with multi laboratories located in the Health Science Research Center offers a variety of molecular testing methods such as:
- Isolation of DNA & RNA blood samples.
- Isolation of DNA & RNA from formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue.
- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
- Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).

Storage Services
HSRC Biobank provides storing facilities that are monitored 24 hours a day maintaining a back-up power system while performing regular system check-ups and routine environmental factors checks that can affect sample quality to ensure high quality. We will have the capability to not only store our own specimens but also the ability to warehouse your critical specimens through our cold-chain logistics platform.
